I thought that I would follow-up my previous post about the problems in the SSPX by presenting you with several videos on the Latin Mass by a priest who is in communion with Rome. Fr. Calvin Goodwin is a member the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter. The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter was founded in July of 1988 by members of SSPX who did not want to follow the rest of the Society in to the schism the resulted from Lefebvre’s ordination of four bishops.
Enjoy these two videos and please share.
Thank you for posting these talks by Fr. Goodwin. I’ve worshipped at a diocesan Latin Mass for the past year but am learning through the online Live Mass at Christ the King while following their online Missal. These talks have helped to increase or rather revive understanding but Father’s talk on the Transfiguration (Matt. 17) in relation to the Mass has left me speechless. Will be prayerfully reading the Transfiguration in the Gospels with greater awareness — wish it was Sunday. I’ve bookmarked this and will watch it again, and probably again and again.
“All good works together are not of equal value with the sacrifice of the Mass, because they are the works of men, and the holy Mass is the work of God.” St. John Vianney
